"Like the wind whispering through the branches or the gentle beating of a butterfly's wings, 'Kalmte' shines with sensitive and intimate tones."

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

Born and raised in a little hamlet about 40 minutes north of Manchester, music has always been a big part of my life.

This little musical journey started as a joke; singing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” in an audition to be part of the Blackburn Cathedral Music School in the early 2000s, a place I eventually called home for over 12 years. I absorbed everything I could while I was there, learning about every form of music available to me within the vast library hidden below in the basement. From Brahms to Bach, Handel to Mozart. Chorales, Symphonies and everything in between. Because of this experience, I found the piano.

In 2012, I left for a new challenge - to obtain my Bachelor’s Degree in Music Production from Leeds Conservatoire. I had the pleasure of working under the tutelage of some of the industry’s most respected professionals, from engineers straight out of Abbey Road Studios, to friends and colleagues who taught me the fundamental values of navigating through these somewhat turbulent waters of the music industry.

While I’ve always strived for perfection within my recordings, it's in the imperfections that I capture that I've now come to embrace. The subtle sound of hammers hitting the strings or the piano keys clinking against one another in the quieter sections of a piece. It is within these humanistic blemishes within my music that I now find comfort.

If I'm not crafting a melody for a solo piano project, you can find my work alongside shows on Netflix, National Geographic, BBC & various other media outlets.

Thanks for checking out my music, and taking the time to find yourself on this page!

I’d love it if you stuck around somewhat and joined me on this journey!
